What’s That New Building?

When our initial talks started with Old Schoolhouse Brewery about putting a brewery and taproom on the TwispWorks campus, they had a successful business model of beer distribution in the Northwest alongside serving hungry and thirsty customers in Winthrop. Since then they’ve continued growing quickly, adding the brewery and taproom at TwispWorks as well as the brand new Mazama Public House to their business.
During the start of COVID when bars and restaurants shut down, and all weddings and parties were cancelled, the OSB’s team of astute business owners pivoted from selling and distributing kegs to canning and selling their beer… and they started running out of space! OSB’s primary storage facility had been in Winthrop, and it took multiple staff to get a truckload of cans from Winthrop to Twisp on canning days–not efficient in any sense of the word.
TwispWorks and OSB had many meetings about this challenge and other limits to OSB’s growth. This spring TwispWorks broke ground on a new warehouse on campus for OSB’s storage needs. The plan is to finish the storage building this fall, and OSB will start using it upon its completion. We are looking forward to the OSB team streamlining their operations and continuing to grow their presence here in the valley and beyond. Cheers!
