School is back in session and TwispWorks is pleased to welcome eight students on to the campus for the 4th year of the Advanced Construction Tech class.
The Advanced Construction Tech class is part of the Careers in Construction Academy offered in partnership with the Methow Valley School District. The Academy provides high school students hands-on learning in construction-related trades and provides a potential pathway to living wage jobs here in the Methow Valley and beyond.
This school year, the focus will be on three projects: (Learn More Here) siding the new commercial kitchen, de-constructing the North Shed and constructing a new TwispWorks shop. In the big picture, this new shop will create a more efficient storage and workshop space for the campus and make space in the West Shed for three new rental spaces in 2018-2019. The North Shed site will become home to a new 4,000 square foot building to accommodate the Old School House’s vision of a production brewery and taproom. As always, there’s no shortage of work to be done!
