TwispWorks Takes Over Management of the Methow Valley Bulletin Board
TwispWorks is proud to announce that it has taken over the management and operations of the Methow Valley Bulletin Board, at methowvalley.com, a vital online community resource that has served the Methow Valley since 2002. This well-loved platform, with over 10,000 users and 100,000 monthly page views, has become a cornerstone for residents to post information, buy, sell, trade, and connect.
Methownet, the Bulletin Board’s creator, owner, and moderator, had to part with the service as part of their acquisition by OCEC. Recognizing the Bulletin Board’s critical role in the community, Methownet’s founders and co-owners, Jeff Hardy and Maria Converse, sought a new steward who could uphold its legacy and ensure its continued impact.
After careful consideration, they turned to TwispWorks.
“You can’t just shut this down; this is something everybody relies on,”said Jeff. “It’s more than just a bulletin board; it’s a place where everybody can communicate.”
Maria echoed his sentiment: “The Bulletin Board is a news source for the Valley. I know people who start their day by checking it. Whether it’s finding out what’s selling or how much rents are going for, it’s essential.”
During emergencies, the Methow Bulletin Board has proven indispensable. Maria recalled how, for a moment, it was the only functioning line of communication during past wildfires, offering real-time updates and vital connections when it mattered most.

Jeff and Maria believe TwispWorks is the perfect new home for the Bulletin Board. “The whole TwispWorks environment is perfect for this,” Jeff said. “You have the radio, the newspaper—things naturally gravitate toward this important part of the community.”
“That’s why it felt natural to us to go to TwispWorks. We couldn’t think of a better place for it to land,” Maria added.
Sarah Brown, Executive Director of TwispWorks, shared her enthusiasm: “The Bulletin Board is more than just a platform—it’s a lively hub of ideas, exchanges, and connections. TwispWorks is excited to take on this responsibility and ensure it continues to be a heartbeat of communication and collaboration for our incredible community.”
By assuming stewardship of the Methow Valley Bulletin Board, TwispWorks is honored to continue fostering the Valley’s unique spirit of community connection.
Importantly, TwispWorks has no plans to change the design, functionality, or moderation of the platform, ensuring that the Bulletin Board remains the trusted resource the community has relied on for over two decades.
