Just last week Baylie Peplow of Red Umbrella Designs flew off to the East Coast to celebrate her husband’s grandparents’ 70th wedding anniversary. Before she left, she told me she was going to try to “learn their secret.” If you know Baylie, you know it’s no surprise that in the midst of stressful cross-country family travel she is seeking truth and beauty. It’s so wonderful to have Red Umbrella Designs in the Methow—bringing Baylie’s aesthetic of seeking beauty, keeping hope, and giving kindness to our community through cards, gifts, clothing, and more. Baylie is an illustrator and graphic designer and founded the company in 2012. Baylie now spends her time raising up a little family, running the business, and every now and again creating new designs.Red Umbrella Designs has a storefront on Riverside Avenue in Winthrop as well as a thriving online shop. If you want a deeper experience with Baylie’s art, she is offering a 6-week class starting June 11. Every other Sunday 9am – 12pm, she’ll present you with a chance to have some fun, explore your creative nature, and unplug from everyday static with approachable art projects. Through scrappy yet honest instruction, fool-proof projects, and loads of encouragement, she’ll help you get reacquainted with the “truest and most beautiful version of yourself.” Read more about the class and sign up at: fancy-sun-343.myflodesk.com/This sweet little business has so much to offer our community—and I am thrilled to have them join TwispWorks as a 2023 Business Sponsor! Thank you, Baylie and Red Umbrella Designs, for supporting your community in so many special ways! ... See MoreSee Less
