METHOW SKILLS: Papermaking with Laura Karcher

Learn the ancient art of papermaking with a modern approach. We’ll make beautiful, interesting paper for creative uses like cards, art, collage, books and, my favorite, lamps! This three hour class is simple and practical, giving the student enough information for paper-making at home. Supplies can be easily gathered from second hand stores and the paper recycling bin. We’ll provide everything needed for the class but feel free to bring special items to include in your paper, like dried plants, thread or yarn, seeds, or a favorite colored paper.

Class is for adults, it involves lots of water so dress accordingly. (waterproof boots or sandals are sensible)

Class meets at the Methow Gallery (Building 10) on the TwispWorks Campus.

Pre-registration is required.
