TwispWorks plays an active role in initiatives that drive economic resilience and community well-being in the Methow Valley. While not always the lead organization, TwispWorks serves as a critical collaborator and advocate in projects that address key regional challenges.
Recently, TwispWorks has completed two significant efforts: the development of an Auto Tech Facility, designed to expand vocational training opportunities, and a Comprehensive Study aimed at assessing and strengthening the local economic landscape. These projects reflect TwispWorks’ commitment to fostering sustainable growth and opportunity in the region.
Beyond these current efforts, TwispWorks has been involved in initiatives focused on climate action and rural broadband expansion—both essential to the long-term prosperity of our community.
Whether supporting infrastructure improvements, advocating for policy solutions, or bringing together partners to advance shared goals, TwispWorks consistently works to amplify local voices and ensure that investments in the Methow Valley serve those who live and work here. By championing these initiatives, TwispWorks helps create a stronger, more connected, and more sustainable future.
Education & Career Development
Built in collaboration with the Methow Valley School district, this state-of-the-art facility provides hands-on vocational training in automotive technology, equipping students with valuable skills for in-demand careers. This project strengthened local workforce development and expanded educational opportunities in the Methow Valley.
Community Research
The Comprehensive Economic Study provides a data-driven understanding of the Methow Valley’s evolving economy, examining trends in workforce shifts, tourism, second-home ownership, and economic disparity. Launched by TwispWorks in 2020, the study serves as a foundation for decision-making on housing, workforce development, and long-term economic sustainability.
