Methow Valley Interpretive Center

Methow Valley Interpretive Center Sign

The Methow Valley Interpretive Center’s mission is to create, fund and operate an interpretive center that recognizes the inhabitants of the Methow Valley prior to European colonization. Founders Glenn and Carolyn Schmekel looked for ways to give the descendents of the Methow Tribe a place where they could bring their children and say “here is our story, here was where we lived.

The center offers displays related to the original Native American inhabitants of the Methow Valley, as well as the geology and natural history of the Methow Valley.
Admission is free – donations are appreciated.
