Last Sunday Series: Beavers, Water, Fish & Fire
July 28, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
FreeJoin the Methow Valley Interpretive Center for their Last Sunday presentation, Beavers, Water, Fish & Fire.
Can beavers provide hope for the future of our freshwater? There are concerns about low snowpack, reduced river water to supply community needs and our Steelhead, Chinook and Coho populations. Beaver activity can benefit wildlife habitat as well as human communities and economies.
Alexa Whipple , project director of the Methow Beaver Project , shares how beavers historically played a role in shaping fresh water ecosystems and their current status in the Methow Valley.
This program is provided free of charge but donations are gratefully accepted.
The Methow Valley Interpretive Center is located in Building #2 on the TwispWorks campus.
