For The Love of Winter – Nature Journaling Class: Snowy Peaks & Valleys
February 28 @ 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm$65
Perri Howard and Mary Kiesau are offering nature journaling classes in February that combine educational excursions outdoors with indoor nature drawing lessons. Participants will explore and learn about the winter landscape while becoming more engaged naturalists and practicing drawing with a fun and supportive group. All materials are provided and all levels, including beginners, are encouraged to attend. Take home completed work after each class.
Space is limited to 12 people per class, and registration is required. Get more info and register online at mountainkindphotography.com or at vmgworks.com, or contact Mary Kiesau email@example.com or at 509-551-6714, or Perri Howard firstname.lastname@example.org, 509-557-2299.
Class starts with a short natural history walk outdoors, if the weather cooperates, led by Mary Kiesau. The class will then go to Perri’s studio at TwispWorks for drawing lessons and skills-building for three hours or so. With the opportunity to work from real life and photographs these sessions are designed for everyone at every level. Beginners will learn lots of tips and step-by-step “recipes” for drawing and nature journaling, and more experienced students will hone in on details and more expressive techniques. More details will be sent before each class.
These classes are designed for ages 16 and up. If you would like to bring someone under the age of 16, please call or email Perri to discuss other options.
Perri Howard of Velocity Made Good and Mary Kiesau of Mountain Kind Natural History & Photography have offered dozens of nature journaling classes together for several years. Contact either of them if you have questions before registering.
