Community Arbor Day Event

April 29, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free

The Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the Methow Conservancy and TwispWorks invite you to a Community Arbor Day Tree event.

Trees provide vital protection for the Earth’s topsoil from erosion, oxygen, and homes for wildlife. They beautify our environment, provide shade on a sunny day and improve our quality of life. National Arbor Day celebrates all these things and aims for American generations to come to enjoy all the benefits trees have to offer. With the wildfires of 2014 & 2015 the Valley lost a huge number of trees – mark this Arbor Day by replanting around your home and community!

The Methow Conservancy will be offering varieties of native saplings and shrubs free of charge to the community! Saplings will be available for pickup from 9:30 to 10:30 for the fire victims of the 2014 and 2015 fires and from 10:30 on for other residents.

This event will end at Noon or when the Conservancy runs out of saplings.

Sapling pickup will be located in the North Shed across from the Bernard Hosey Building (building #9).
