Local expert Susie Kowalczyk is back with her very popular series on Beekeeping. Over two nights Susie will cover the fundamentals of beekeeping from the life cycle of the honeybee though managing your hives.

Classes are open to apiarists of all levels – take one class or sign up for both!

Session #1 covers

• Basic beekeeping information
• Life cycle of the honeybee
• Necessary tools and clothing

Session #2 covers

• Installing bee packages and nucs
• Hive management and swarms
• Diseases and pests

 
Cost includes class plus follow-up help with purchasing bees, hiving bees, hive location and hive monitoring, if needed.

Classes are held in Your Space@TwispWorks (Building #9) on the TwispWorks campus.
