Austin Joins TwispWorks for the Summer!

Austin Valenti

Western Washington University students arrived in late June to the Methow and the TwispWorks campus. As fellows in WWU’s Sustainability Pathways program, they will take classes and complete practicums with local nonprofits, farms, and schools.

At TwispWorks, we are excited to be hosting Austin Valenti for his student practicum. For three months, Austin will be our Events and Communications Associate. He’ll help put on events on the Pavilion, provide support in the office, and create meaningful stories and content for our communications.

Austin is currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Marine Science. He recently shared this, “While my time here is short, there is no place I would rather be. I am extremely excited for the endless possibilities this summer holds. Outside of my professional career I am a nerd looking to become an outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons, board games, and video games. This summer I hope to go on my first backpacking trip and learn how to fly fish. The valley has been extraordinarily kind and welcoming, and I hope to make a positive impact with my time here.”
