TwispWorks partners with Independent Learning Center

TwispWorks Board member Hanz Scholz leads a bike repair class for ILC students.
The Methow Valley School District’s Independent Learning Center (ILC) and TwispWorks have developed a strong partnership.
Students at the ILC follow individualized, self-paced learning plans, and can graduate with a standard Washington State diploma.
Recently ILC students have participated in programs at TwispWorks including a mural painting project with artist in residence David Joel; a bike repair clinic with Methow Cycle and Sport; assisting with the installation of the Red Shed Garden; a chair-making workshop with local artisan Rico Meleski; and development of a display about the history of the TwispWorks site.
